Was upgrading from the cheap Hario hand grinder. Day and night. Very tasty coffee. Slowness doesn’t matter really as the kettle boils even slower :-). Would definitely recommend!

After doing a lot of research and working within a sensible budget, I wanted a grinder with large flat burrs, that didn't cost the earth or burnt the beans through the motor getting hot. The Wilfa Uniform has achieved this. What an amazing machine. Yes it is a little slower than some other grinders, yes there is some static and a little residual coffee left, but these are tiny minor issues. But what it does in grinding very fine to coarse coffee and highly consistent grind sizes it is amazing. I'm not convinced, that if you spent 4 times this price you would get a better grinder, except for speed and capacity. I cannot praise this product enough. Just an awesome grinder.

After 10 years of trusty grinding (coffee, see above) it was time to replace my trusted thrup machine. After endless reviews and research I settled on the Wilfa Uniform because it promised a consistent commercial grade grind at home. (And James Hoffmann has one). The only thing stopping me was the price until Wilfa released the uniform without the fancy scales and by coincidence Clumsy Goat coffee had it on offer at a price I couldn’t refuse. One month in and after daily usage I can report that it is everything you would want from a top end grinder. I’m well happy. Thanks again you lovely people at CG Coffee.

I watched a few reviews before buying so I knew what to expect and I got exactly what I expected based on the reviews, a grinder that is good for filter/percolation methods and can do espresso but isn’t an out and out espresso grinder. Some great reviews out there and I’d recommend watching a few before deciding on this grinder so you know the strengths and limitations of it. All in all, does exactly what it was designed to do

Perfectly controlled grinding, rather quiet, very easy to set coarseness, elegant automatic stop once all beans are ground. However, the container for grounds is really hard to extract from the machine (am I missing a trick?), and it is unfortunately built with seams, from which it’s hard to extract all grounds/dust. The metal container has a plastic lid, but it doesn’t seem to generate static, thankfully.
