About the Product

A simple way to greatly improve the consistency of your espresso. 

Improved Espresso Quality:

VST's precision filters deliver consistent extraction performance over a wide range of concentration with reduced sediment.

Designed to extract properly as a ristretto, normale or lugo with minimal or no change in grind setting at a fixed dose.

Wide outlet angle to prevent filters from clogging, anti-wear design ensures uniform performance for life of product.

Competition Class:

Each new VST Precision Filter is optimised for use with specific capacities in dose
weight of coffee. The 20g VST Competition filter is the the preferred dose used in
WCE and WBC competitions, and in many specialty cafes and coffee shops.

Precision Fabrication:

Built with unprecedented precision, all VST Filters are WARRANTED for ZERO
DEFECTS. Holes are formed using a new micro-machine and finishing process and are supplied with quality control photographs of your exact basket.

100% of holes are measured on every filter for min/max range and hard limits on area and diameter to a precision of better than +/- 30 µm

All holes are measured for circularity, placement, square area and blocked holes

Filters are matched for total square area opening to +/- 5% to ensure identical group-to-group performance. (Typical filter baskets vary from -50 to +100%).

The hole pattern is centred to +/- 1.0 mm and placement is oriented for uniform extraction throughout the entire puck.

Genuine Products With Full Traceability:

Each VST filter is marked with a unique 2-D code to ensure authenticity and specifications. The 2-D code stores factory measurement, quality reports and image data.

Compatibility:

VST baskets are designed to fit most 60mm porafilters, however the larger sizes are deeper than most stock baskets and can generally only be used with bottomless portafilters.

We recommend using 58.4mm competition tampers with VST baskets for the best results. Please take a look at our tamper range here to see our various stock models.

Great bit of kit

I bought the VST Ridgeless Filter Basket for my son to try in his Lelit Bianca after having successfully used one in my ACS Minima. The VST baskets performed superbly in both machines, improving consistency, extraction and taste. Worth every penny.

Precision engineering, not cheap but worth it.

I have found the VST Filter Basket delivers consistent results, removing the variable results delivered by stock baskets. It's not cheap but it certainly delivers value for money.

Great upgrade to Gaggia Classic

Great upgrade for my 2013 Gaggia Classic. I use a Sage Dose Control Pro and wasn’t sure if it’d be up to the task but it’s coped fine, with a bit more adjustment still available. Seems like the basket sits a bit higher in the stock Gaggia portafilter as I can’t turn it very far when locking it in now but it seals fine so that’s all that matters. Really improved my shot consistency, great upgrade.

Standard delivery (2–3 working days) is FREE for UK orders over £100 + VAT, or just £4.99 + VAT if you spend less than that.

Next Working Day delivery is available for £7.99 + VAT.

We work with a range of trusted couriers, and the one we use for your order may vary depending on your location and the size of your parcel. Typically, smaller items are shipped via Royal Mail or Amazon Shipping. For larger, wholesale or international orders, we generally use Parcelforce, APC, FedEx and Amazon Shipping. Yes, we do! Our policy lasts 30 days. We just ask that your order is unused and in the same condition in which you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Please note that commercial catering equipment is subject to different terms due to its special-order nature, so we kindly ask that you review our full returns policy on the checkout page for details regarding the catering range.
